Welcome to Lakewood Ranch Lactation! My name is Jennifer Chivas, also known as The Booby Boss! I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. My goal is to support mother baby dyads with all of their breastfeeding needs. I have partnered with Tampa Breastfeeding Center to extend the best breastfeeding services in Florida. Beyond the Birth- SRQ, my support group, is currently on hold due to COVID-19. Virtual appointments now available and recommended for all routine visits, for more complicated situations where a hands on assessment is needed in home visits using CDC guidelines are allowed and recommended. Getting the care you need to successfully breastfeed remains a priority during this time.
Hours available for consultations are Monday-Sunday 9am-8pm. Now accepting some insurances, please inquire when scheduling an appointment, otherwise a super bill for self-pay will be provided. All forms of payment accepted.
What is an IBCLC?
The International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential identifies a knowledgeable and experienced member of the maternal-child health team who has specialized clinical skills in breastfeeding management and care. The IBLCE is currently the only credentialing agency that offers a board certification in breastfeeding medicine in lactation consulting globally. IBCLCs have passed a rigorous examination that demonstrates the ability to provide competent, comprehensive lactation and breastfeeding care.
